As my children are now too old for advent calendars, last year I set myself the challenge of posting a picture a day during advent in the run up to Christmas. I enjoyed it so much the daily photo grew into a 365 project for this year, which was going well until the wedding season got into full swing – but that’s another story! So this year I have decided to Blog a picture eveyday during advent, starting with lots of photos taken this afternoon at the opening of the Shipdham Christmas tree festival. There are over 30 trees in the church all raising money for a different charity so if you get a chance do drop in and take a look – the festival is open from 12-4 everyday until Sunday 4th December. I’m going back again on Saturday afternoon for a second look and one of the lovely cakes that they are also serving up during opening hours!
