I have recently discovered Design Seeds which is a fabulous photography/design website that provides colour palettes from a diverse range of images. These colour palettes have a huge range of uses from graphic design to mood boards for fashion, interior design, weddings etc. As I am currently designing my new personal Blog (watch this space!) I thought that I would have a go at creating some palettes of my own using some of my archive photographs. There are many ways of putting extracting colours from images but I used InDesign – first by creating a template and then simply using the dropper tool to sample the colours in each image until I was happy with the results.
