Dryathlon day 9: wet,wet,wet

wet wet wet (1)What a week it has been. Rain, rain and more rain with some hail thrown in to boot. I could have chickened out of my walk this morning but having been thwarted earlier in the week I strode out regardless. I’ve said it before but I quite enjoy walking in bad weather.  There’s nothing like a howling wind blowing cold rain in you face to make you feel tingly and alive!  It certainly set me up for a day of sitting at my computer bashing away at a new client website!

In case you’re interested I gave the alcohol free wine a miss tonight in favour of two large mugs of tea and some Cadbury’s pebbles (very dangerous!) I’m still going strong with the Dryathlon although sponsors have been few and far between this year (I raised £300 last year) so if you can spare a little for a good cause visit my sponsorship page here: http://www.justgiving.com/DryDebs

Hi Debbie, I’ve been reading your blog – I’m a fellow dryathelete (the only one I know!) taking part in this year’s Dryathlon for the first time from my location in the Middle East. I’m going to read how you got on last year as inspiration as it’s very alcohol centric here (yes I know it might seem a weird paradox living in a Muslim country)with a whole two weeks worth of alcohol centric events looming, I’m going to try and stay strong. Wishing you all the best 🙂

Hi – Glad you’re enjoying my Blog – it’s nice to know that it’s giving you inspiration to carry on! It’s not easy – right now it’s Saturday night and my husband is making pizza and drinking wine (he did it with me last year but is not taking part this year!) I’ve been inspired more today as I’ve had a lot of donations after pleading with people on Facebook which is after all what its about! Good luck with yours! Debbie
