Above is my Cadbury’s low calorie hot chocolate with a bit of frothed skimmed milk topped with marshmallows. Can you believe I’ve never had a hot chocolate with marshmallows before? It’s my daughters favourite tipple – although she also likes a generous squirting of cream along with the marshmallows too! I did rather enjoy it although it was very sweet!
I spent the early part of this evening getting wet on the outside as I went for a swim while my daughter was at football training. As I was ploughing up and down in the slow lane I was reminded of the first big sponsored charity event that I took part in back in the late 80’s when I was working in London. Two years running a group of us trained for the Penguin Swimathon in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. In the first year we entered as a team swimming 50 lengths each and then in the second year we trained to enter as individuals to swim 5km. After the 5km swim, which we all completed, we all felt a great sense of achievement. I seem to remember we then spent the afternoon in the pub before going onto Pizza Express to soak up the rest of the evening. Ah happy days – I’ve still got the sweatshirt somewhere!
