Back at the beginning of April I Blogged about how bleak it was out in the garden. Everything behind, lots of dead and frost damaged plants… Well I’m pleased to say that things are now starting to look much better. The last couple of days have been glorious – a stark contrast to the cold rain, and hail that we had at the end of last week in the run up to the Bank Holiday weekend. I visit a local nursery on Saturday to buy a few plants and heard from the owner how disastrous this spring has been for business because of the bad weather. Everything is behind in terms of the growing season and sales have been well down on what is expected this year. He told me how after Mother’s Day weekend he had to dump hundreds of primrose plants as custom had just not materialised. Hopefully he will have had a bumper weekend over the last few days.
So here is a little glimpse of what is happening in what I like to call out “rustic” garden (i.e. an excuse for a rather lazy approach to weeding!) shot with the 100m macro which is a joy as always!
