I must admit when it comes to gardening I’m a bit erratic! At the start of the year – and especially when we are blessed with some early spring sunshine – I get enthusiastic and set about planning, digging and buying ready for the new growing season. As that sunny window has failed to appear this year, I have to say things are looking pretty bleak outside at the moment. All I have managed this year is a quick dig over the veg patch and not a chitted potato in sight. Finally though it looks like this awful cold weather is soon to leave – we even had a sun with some warmth in it this afternoon. So I headed outside with the camera to see what I could find growing in spite of my lack of gardening action this year.
As you will see apart from the tree buds and a lone Forget- me- not there really is not a lot happening. I’m also rather afraid that the harsh frosts have had a really detrimental effect on some of the plants – including our very large bay tree which is looking very sorry for itself. The only think which is really thriving in the bamboo which I have to say is in danger of taking over the garden. If anyone has any top tips of how to contain it or even get rid of it them please leave me a comment below!
