Blustery morning walk

I have got out of the habit recently of going for my morning walk and I woke up this morning realising just how much I had missed it! I don’t mind admitting that I was in a bit of a grump yesterday – it has not been an easy week and I was generally feeling…

That was January 2019

Well I blinked and that was the first month of 2019 done and dusted! It was a strange month in many ways as it was our first proper taste of having an empty nest. Our son Tom moved to Bristol at the end of November last year but it wasn’t long before our daughter Reya…

That was October

October came and went so quickly – it certainly was a strange month in terms of the weather with temperatures in the 20s some days. When the sun wasn’t shining we had some amazing skies and a couple of very dramatic storms. Last week was half term and we went on a mini road trip…

That was September.. (30)

That was September…

Super clouds – super moon

It began this morning with another lovely later summer early morning walk.  The sky was bluer than blue with curious streaks and wisps of clouds trailing across the sky. This evening there was a super harvest moon. We bolted our tea and rushed to see it rise orange and streaked with cloud,  from the village…
