We just about in the middle of the school holidays but sadly we’re not going to be able to get away anywhere this year for a lot of reasons.
There is a lot to keep us here this week.
Firstly my daughter Reya is in the middle of getting her braces fitted. So far this has involved copious visits to the orthodontist for, x-rays, impressions and the gluing in of wires – and that’s even before the actual braces are fitted. Today the last piece of the process needs to happen before the braces can finally be fitted on 29th August. It’s the bit Reya is least looking forward too as she has to have two teeth out…
To take our minds off it we went for a glorious morning walk. The sky was amazing – a deep blue and with that hyper 3D effect that you sometimes get. The fields are being harvested and gradually reduced to swaths of stubble although it doesn’t seem that long ago that we we’re doing our film shoot when they were filled with expanses of yellow.
So as I type we’ve got just an hour left before we leave for the dentist. Once that’s over we can start to fret about the second big thing this week – my son Tom’s A level results!
