Walking pixels explained

Back in September last year my daughter started High School and for the first time in 12 years I did not have to do the walk to school in the morning. Even though it was only a quick 5 minute stroll round the corner and back I really missed the fresh air and a chance to blow away the cobwebs first thing in the morning. So after a few days I started my walking campaign – nothing to strenuous just a brisk half an hour stroll around the country lanes to clear my head ready for a days work in our “home office”. Six months on and I’m still walking! I manage to get out in most weathers and have loved being able to watch the changing seasons over the months. We are very lucky to be able to live in a beautiful rural area where there is an abundance of wildlife. I have seen deer, hawks, foxes, buzzards and now that spring is nearly here, listened to the lovely song of the skylarks.

I made a conscious decision not to take proper camera with me but I have kept a record of my walks on my mobile phone – many of which I also paste to my Facebook page while I walk. However now that The Pixel Chef is up and running I will also use the Blog as my way of sharing these walking picture too.  Here are a few taken between September and December last year.
