Our once controversial Nativity has been getting a lot of attention. Pictured above are Enid Clarke, Rene Smith and Brian Smith who worked hard to restore it for this year’s Christmas celebrations in the church. While we were setting up the photograph Enid told us how the artists came to stay in Carbrooke in the late 1920’s with the Reverend Chambers. She said their rather bohemian appearances caused quite a stir in our sleepy little village!
