That was july
A bit of a roller coaster month which began with a trip to Addenbrookes for Geoff to finally embark upon his treatment - we now have a radio active man in the house! It has been a tough month for him with some very unpleasant and unexpected side effects but hopefully as I type on 2nd August he is through the worst! Walking has been very much part of his recovery and we have been out in our lovely country lanes which have been sweltering then shivering in the crazy weather!
Festivals were very much the flavour of the end of the month - starting with the amazing World Yoga Festival at Beale Park near Pangbourne. It's the second year that I've been and like last year I went with my friend Tracey. This year we were joined in our luxury glamping Bell tent by Sarah (my son's, girlfriend's mum!) and her friend Emma. In spite of us not really knowing each other we all got on really well and we enjoyed an inspirational weekend of yoga, fun and music! The following weekend I was on the line up myself at our very own Norfolk World Music Festival with early morning sessions for the campers. Sadly the weather was very wet after the amazing heatwave but that didn't stop every one having a great time!
As always food features highly among my photos for the month and it has been lovely having our daughter home for the summer from Uni to join in the cooking.
As August begins my intention is to try and rekindle my creative mojo by posting more here. I have the lovely book Conscious Creativity written by Phillipa Stanton (her Instagram amazing and is well worth a follow) which I know will help me with prompts and inspiration. I also bought a copy for my sister for her birthday this week so it will be fun to see what we both do in the coming weeks!
