Today I allowed myself to wander along the wine aisle at the supermarket checking out the latest offers. I’m sure fellow shoppers could see my eyes lighting up as I gazed wistfully at the Merlot, Chianti and Pinot Grigiot – soon they will be mine – all mine!!
On a more serious note, as well as thanking all the the lovely people who have sponsored me in this arduous month long task I would also like to say a big thanks to my husband Geoff who has (with the exception of one evening) gone dry with me for the whole of January. Like me Geoff likes a drink (or 5!) and I know that he has found it pretty challenging at times – but it has been really supportive not to have someone sitting opposite me at the dinner table of an evening slurping a glass of red while I sip my mineral water. Also like me Geoff is counting the days until Friday…
