The final day of the advent Blog and what fun it’s been – if a little hectic during such a busy month! All that is left is for us wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year …let’s hope we have as much fun as we did in 2011…

I have been inspired by many of the posts on my favourite Blogs leading up to Christmas – as a result here are some of my eco wrapped presents.  Thanks to the Pretty Blog  for putting me onto the lovely labels from Sass and Peril.

Another little tradition I’ve developed over is making decoration from available materials.  This means drying oranges over the woodburner and trawling the garden for greenery.  When finished the bunches are hung beside the hearth.  

This year there are trees that squirt bubble snow outside the Forum in Norwich.  I managed to catch them in action during our rather stressful Christmas shopping trip….

As always the kids demanded that we get a really big tree this year!  So furnished with a budget set at £20 I set out to see what I could buy.  Unsurprisingly it looked like my budget would not get me anything my more than a 4 foot tree so I returned home empty-handed.  Until…

I was taking pictures of my cassoulet to post today then I looked out of the window and saw the sunset.  It was then a quick dash down the road before it faded!
